We sell these units in our VW / Audi repair and performance shop, installed dozens of them. This particular brand comes with well written installation and user instructions. Functionality - like others is 90% OEM experience. The biggest gripe is callers hearing echo - just have to play around to come up with an acceptable setting. Second biggest complaint is people being half connected to it and half connected to the cars original Bluetooth - best to just forget it to avoid that issue. Installation on a 3G MMI system - Audi A4, A5, S4/S5, Q5/SQ5 2010-2017 w/Nav is literally plug & play. Non- Nav cars are a bit more complex. These units truly make an outdated Nav and infotainment system modernized with the latest maps, music, EQ, and more. 100% Recommended - unbiased, non solicited recommendation.

Installed on my 2011 A4 Avant prestige.
Easiest install ever, just make sure you order the little key tool separately to remove the MMI unit.

Otherwise the install took less than an hour. Instructions were perfect and everything was plug and play. Works seamlessly with the OEM Audi controls on the console and steering wheel.

Also very nice to get precise audio EQ control through the unit that Audi doesnt provide from factory.

Just finished installing this item from Amazon in my 2016 Audi Q5 TDI Premium Plus. I had ordered a similar product produced by Bremmer Parts and sold by ESC Tuning and do not recommend either. The Bremmer product included a wiring diagram in Chinese with English subtitles which were absolutely useless and no other installation guidance. The return experience with ESC Tuning was an experience I never wish to repeat. Maybe I got them on a bad day but their customer service department would not accept phone calls; their online return service was not functioning and there were no supervisory personnel available. I sent the product back with all the paperwork I could find and will see if I get the promised refund or if I have to dispute the charge. I DO NOT RECOMMEND EITHER THE BREMMER PRODUCT ,OR ESC TUNING.
I ordered this product from Amazon and paid a 30% premium because of (a.) Amazons customer service and (b) it seemed, online, to have better documentation.

I was able to install the product in a little less than two hours (it is the messing with wiring and plugs as well as the keys required to remove an Audi radio, that takes the time) and the product worked flawlessly. I had to do a little experimenting with the blue tooth connection (took about five minutes) to get full music streaming functionality but it is now perfect and compares very favorably with the wireless Car Play that came with my wife's 2023 MDX except my Audi lacks the touch screens native to the Acura. Siri takes care of virtually everything so who needs the touch screens, anyway.

2016 Audi A3 Premium Nav 7 screen
It wasnt clear in the listing, but the aux AMI cable is included with the kit. Install was fairly smooth, decided to use wireless CarPlay, ran the antenna cable just under the passenger side center console sail panel and the connection has been stable. Aux didnt show up in the menu immediately, but eventually did. The boot to wireless CarPlay is fairly quick also. Instructions were clear. Also shout out to my dog Dobby for an extra hand or paw during the install.

A great bonus is the EQ menu.

Love the fact I didnt have to replace my entire system. Works well. Only downside it's not touch screen.
